I avoid cook book treatment models. There are so many ways to feel and do better in life that we don’t even know them all. We will work together to address your goals for investing time and energy in therapy— determine what modality will suit you best— and go with that.

I have been in private practice since 2003. I graduated with a Master's Degree from Yale University in 1988 and took clinical training at Yale-New Haven Hospital in various capacities, including as a hospital chaplain. I have enjoyed a broad range of experience working with adults, families, and adolescents at all American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) levels of care. I specialized as a substance abuse clinician at the beginning of 1991 when starting as a research associate in addiction medicine at The Yale Psychiatric Institute in Department of Psychiatry at Yale Medical School. While there, I was involved in various projects, including the development of a medical detoxification protocol for opiate dependence and an interdepartmental study with the Yale Child Study Center for children who had been exposed to cocaine in utero.

I am a Yoga Alliance certified yoga instructor, a member of the Association of Energy Psychologists, and am certified as an Advanced Sound Healing practitioner. I look forward to being of service to you.
